Post-Operative Care
We firmly believe that our service is personal, we do not want our patients to think that once we have referred them on for further investigations that we have washed our hands with them. We all genuinely care about every patient we see and try to make sure that they receive the best care possible. We always ask our patients to keep in touch and let us know how they have gone on with any eyecare treatment received elsewhere.
Cataract Post-Operative Appointments
Following cataract surgery it is possible for a patient to be referred into the community for post-operative checks saving them another trip to the hospital clinics. All of our Optometrists have been accredited to take part in this scheme giving our patients ease of access to their post-operative care.
Four weeks post-operativly we will perform a very thorough examination of the internal structures and the ocular surface to ensure the success of the operation. Following that we will then advise the patient further. At this point it will be decided whether to discharge or re-list the patient for further investigation or surgery (to the other eye).
