WE'RE ALL FOR BEING POSITIVE...
...but not when it comes to the emission of CO₂. That's why we’re proud to announce that our mission of planting trees has led us to become one of the very first carbon negative eyewear brands in the world! What does this mean, exactly? Unlike being carbon neutral, where CO₂ emissions are compensated at a ratio of one to one, we're carbon negative. This means that our efforts in reducing carbon emissions by planting trees actually surpass neutrality and that our trees clean out more CO₂ than our eyewear production creates.

ECO® was “born recycled” in 2009, with the start of the program ONE FRAME – ONE TREE, in partnership with the NGO Trees for the Future. Since then, ECO® has donated and planted a tree for every frame sold. So far, ECO® has planted over 2 million trees!
We use recycled stainless steel for our metal frames, and our Biobased collection’s main ingredient is vegetable castor seed oil. Plus, ECO® frames are UL Environment-validated! “We have a responsibility to leave the world a better place than how we found it. Together with Trees for the Future, ONE FRAME – ONE TREE is making a positive impact not only on the environment, but for the people.”
